“W.African force to counter Boko Haram operational ‘from November’”

We have heard about this coalition before, and nothing came of it. Now they have given us a date. Boko Haram has made this new venture an all out war. It is a venture different from any other that we had experienced before. Therefore, it is the way to go for the AOU not only to take notice, but to send the usual help sent to African countries in distress. So far, they have wasted too much time coming to this realization, and taking action.

Nigeria has asked for help since the Chibok girls were abducted, maybe not before because they hoped to be able to deal with Boko Haram themselves. But Boko Haram has since developed from a gang of ragamuffins to one in alliance with Al-Quaida, and now are waging full fledged war on Nigeria.

So far, we have not seen the effect of the help promised by some nations of the world, that is, if they are giving any help at all. Today, I happen to see America sending troupes to Liberia to help fight Ebola. We did not see any such help from American following their promise to help. Rather, we heard about how the Nigerian Military blocked their attempt to help. Check out the following headline.

Is America by blocking the sales of arms to Nigeria helping Nigeria in any way? America blames this action by sighting human rights infringements by the Nigerian Military. Maybe. But has our Military proved to be worse than Boko Haram?
