Day 135! ………………How Did We Get Here? (86)

Yesterday was a happy day, happy on all fronts as US and her Allies agreed to put a stop to the ISIS deluge wherever they try to spread their influence. At the same time, news filtered out that the US has agreed to help Nigeria police her borders, and the borders of all those countries surrounding Nigeria. That is great news indeed, and a very proactive approach to a problem that is threatening to plunge the world into another world war. I don’t know what game Russia is playing right now, but it looks to me that they are trying to capitalize on the confusion created by ISIS to go a snatching. That to me is another threat to world peace, unless Russia is covertly preparing for a third world war, or coaxing the world towards it.

People should always be careful about what they wish. If Russia believes they can win that war, that is, subdue the whole world, they should continue their present recklessness and push on. They will not be the first country to have tried to take on the world and failed. People never learn from history.

This is just a diversion from my main concern, our abducted girls. The problem is that the more focus is on these other distractions all over the world, focus is shifted away from the girls, although, somehow, all of these are connected. As things stand, the fate of our girls may only be resolved when Boko Haram is ousted. Let’s just continue to pray that it will not be too late for them when that time comes.

(We will continue.)

Day 134! ………………How Did We Get Here? (85)

At last, we hear that the US will soon launch a major border security program to help Nigeria with the fight against Boko Haram. Let’s hope this will not be like the promise of long range surveillance drones that never happened. Yesterday, the president of Nigeria called for help from the international committee to wade off and destroy Boko Haram, yesterday also, I was appealing to the world to do something quick before Boko Haram succeeds in dividing Nigeria into two or multiple countries. If this is the plan of those shadows behind their actions, we do not know, but the final outcome is pointing to that division.

Although America has too much on the fire right now, the case of Nigeria seems easier to be contained now than later. Let’s hope that this launch starts soon, and that other nations will join to end this scourge.

Any hope for our girls? Yes, we must never lose hope. Those girls’ return will be a lesson in divine power of God, and those who do not believe in miracles, will begin to believe. Those girls will return, and please people, continue to pray for their return.

I wanted to take a break today from writing, I tried, but I could not. Writing about the fate of these girls is the only way I can help. They say that the pen is mightier than the gun. I hope it is, and I hope that writing and keeping the abduction girls condition in the front burner will help us not to forget. They must never be forgotten.

(We will continue.)

Day 133! ………………How Did We Get Here? (84)

After reading the historical analysis of Alastair Crooke’s on the roots of ISIS and its impact on the future of the Middle East, the current insurgency in northern Nigeria, reflects the same analysis. The two are no doubt connected. Although ISIS has not as yet thrown a direct challenge at the Saudi Royal family, the Royal family knows that they are coming, hence the warning a few days ago by Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah of ISIS threat to the whole world, and I say, especially to his kingdom.

We can see how Boko Haram currently targets only the North east of Nigeria, while they tactically, I believe, avoid the North west, Sokoto, the seat of the Islamic Caliphate in Nigeria. I see their declaration of a new Caliphate in the North east is a direct challenge to the Sarduana of Sokoto. If Boko Haram is not stopped now, if the government, and in fact the whole world continues looking at them or treating them with child’s gloves, very soon they will over-run the whole of northern Nigeria. Is this the plan of their sponsors? We will never know.

All I know is that Nigeria as a country will never come under Islamic rule and law. The South definitely will fight to the last man to ensure that Islamic rule, if and when it occurs will be limited to northern Nigeria. And by the time this happens, Nigeria would have become two separate countries.

Day 132! ………………How Did We Get Here? (83)

This article titled: “Nigerian’s Army Pride Wounded,” which can be found on this link: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-29014513, lists the many ways the Nigerian army has been humiliated by Boko Haram. I think the article should have been titled differently, like, “Nigerian Army Shamed by Boko Haram. Nothing can justify the level of indiscipline that we have experienced recently from the ranks and files of the Military cadre, all of them with no exception, even their wives joined the milieu.

At least, news is now filtering out about the Nigerian Military battling Boko Haram, instead of the past news about them fleeing from the murderous gang. Now, we can pray for them, now we should pray for them, that God will give them complete victory. They are fighting a just war and we pray God sees them through, and that they should not relent until this battle is worn. The call by President Jonathan to pray for the Military instead of maligning them is now in order. If they are fighting valorously, we should pray for them with favor. They need to regain their lost glory, which is not just about the Military alone, but also about the whole country.

Nigeria, we need to regain our lost glory in the face of this crisis. I am one to give my support when support is merited, and to vent when those assigned to duty fail to do their job. Right now, President Jonathan should embolden himself a lot more and do what is needed to save Nigeria. Those in the high places causing this havoc should be flushed out.

(We will continue.)

Day 131! ………………How Did We Get Here? (82)

Just as we predicted, President Jonathan has been endorsed by his party to stand election for a second term. In Nigeria, like in other countries, party rules, and if that party wins, the person endorsed by the party rules. But his endorsement is not without challenge. Some northern members of his party are opposed to his endorsement, and this may open up an outright in-party tug of war. All of this is happening while part of the country is in complete disarray.

Yesterday, President Jonathan asked Nigerians to pray for our “Valiant Military” fighting to flush Boko Haram from Nigeria’s territory. If this is true that the soldiers are giving this fight their all, then the president must ensure the soldier’s weapons, not only match Boko Haram’s weapons, but surpass them. This story about Boko Haram’s arms being superior to the Military arms is not acceptable, unless, as we already know, the insider informants make sure that any superior arms delivered to the Military are raided and taken over by Boko Haram. This has been happening on a regular basis.

In the end, these informers, and their supporters, who are rolling in petrol money, will turn back and mock the whole country with their crooked smiles, and fake pronouncements in support of the government’s struggles in the face of crisis. One of them recently did this, by saying that he supported what President Jonathan is doing with finding the girls. This same man can get those girls released within one day just by giving the order. Instead, he mocks us all.

(We will continue.)

Day 130! ………………How Did We Get Here? (81)

Some people in Nigeria are beginning to believe that the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram 130 days ago are already probably dead, and that Boko Haram is using them prevent an all out assault on their hide-outs. I don’t believe the girls are dead, but I do believe that Boko Haram is using them as shield to prevent attacks on their camps. In the meantime, Boko Haram is out trying to bring down all the security strongholds in the North, with the help, of course, of insiders who tell them when, where, and how to strike. These insiders are in the ranks and files of the security forces, and in the government.

President Jonathan himself knows who these sponsors in high places are, he also knows the Boko Haram supporters in his government, he knows too that the only way to stop the assault on his government and on the people of Nigeria is by destroying this thing now, so what is he waiting for? The success of these murderers is due to the help they are getting from the inside of his government, and very soon, these same insiders will lead Boko Haram to his very own doorsteps.

President Jonathan must act now, or he will have a full blown war in his hands, because, as I have said before, and many in Nigeria know it too, Boko Haram can never be able to take Nigeria without paying dearly for it. Those who are handing over the security bases in the North to Boko Haram are covertly creating an alternative army. Even then, they will never win.

Day 129! ……………….How Did We Get Here? (80)

Recently, someone asked whether ISIS could defeat America in an interview and the answer was quick to come, yes, the one being interviewed said. While I believe that this is a long short, I think those murderers could be mad enough to try. Have we not heard them brag that they will raise their black flag in the White House? Black flag indeed. Those lunatics may not know the meaning of a black flag, the sign of darkness, the sign of death. Therefore their threat is to veil the whole world in darkness. With all the people of light in the world, there is no way light and darkness can co-habit. One must surely give way to the other, and that other is darkness.

ISIS will not be the first demented group to try and take over the world, and they will not be the last. With ISIS, history is just repeating itself, and people never learn from history. I pray they are stopped before they do more havoc.

In a much smaller scale Boko Haram in Nigeria is trying to emulate ISIS atrocity for atrocity, evil for evil, and havoc for havoc. Now that we know what ISIS do with their abducted women, we suspect Boko Haram will follow suite with their own abducted women, the Chibok girls not exempted. Because we have committed these girls into God’s hands, Boko Haram will now have God to deal with. They say they are fighting their god’s battle, a god that allows them to commit so much evil, the battle lines are drawn. Intensify your prayers people.

(We will continue.)

Day 128! ………………How Did We Get Here? (79)

Now that the beast is on the loose, and has taken on a mind of its own, those who let it out are crying out for help to tame the beast and put it back under lock and key. This is the way I read the call by the Saudi King titled, “Saudi king warns West will be jihadists’ next target.” Of course, but this will come after they have taken the whole of Arabia. Now we have a new Caliph claiming supreme power and authority. The Saudi King wants the world to unite and fight ISIS before ISIS engulfs the whole world.

This is the same call I have been making to all Nigerians about Boko Haram. Although, those who let out this beast are not calling for their defeat or restrain, because they still hope that they can profit from it, the country should not stand by and allow them to continue their onslaught and rampage.

The fate of the Chibok girls as far as I am concerned is now in God’s Hands. God answers prayers, and He will answer our prayers which we must continue to make on a daily bases, not because we doubt God’s promises and faithfulness, but because we doubt the shallowness of our faith. By praying for our girls daily, we build and strengthen our faith, and God will begin to take us seriously. He needs our faith to work His miracles, so people continue praying, and continue to build up your faith in God. He will surely deliver those girls, when we least expect it. He is the God of wonders, the unpredictable God. In His own time.

(We will continue.)

Day 127! ………………How Did We Get Here? (78)

Today, I am just going to say a prayer for the abducted Chibok girls, 270 at the beginning and now 213 remaining. For all those who will be offended by this prayer, please forgive me, and try not to be too judgmental. Those of us who believe usually resort to prayers when all has been tried, and all has failed. We turn to God.

Prayer for the Chibok Girls in Captivity

Dear Lord,
Maker of Heaven and Earth
Of All things visible and invisible
There is no other God besides you
You hold the whole world in your Creative Hands
You know what is hidden and unhidden
You are the Omnipotent and Mighty God
The Beginning and the End
You are the I Am that I Am
No one can withstand You
We bring case of our abducted girls before You
And we ask You Lord to Intervene, to make a way for them to return from their captivity
Only You Lord can do this
We put all of them into Your redeeming Hands
And we ask this through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Please, pray with me.

(We will continue.)

Day 126! ………………How Did We Get Here? (77)

All the time I was making conjectures on the problems of Islam in Nigeria, I did not know that I was touching the core of that problem. I would like to refer readers of my blog to this link:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alastair-crooke/isis-wahhabism-saudi-arabia_b_5717157.html

I am not a Muslim, and I cannot say that I know the history of the struggles of Islam. I know the history of my country and how Usman Dan Fodio’s became the supreme ruler of his conquered territories which comprised mostly of Northern Nigeria. When the British amalgamated the nations known today as Nigeria, the British very astutely, based on their prior agreements with Dan Fodio, allowed Dan Fodios to secretly spread his supreme rule claim over the whole of the new nation. Hence their claim to this day as being born to rule. No one else can rule beside them, and when that happened with the election of a non northerner, and a non Muslim, they covertly raised hell to try and take back rule.

Here’s the problem, this monster they raised, using religion as a front, but politics as the main reason, has gradually gone out of their control. What they do not know is that they too are at risk from this group. Nigeria is now a democratic nation, with a constitution which still largely favors the North. The North has strongly stood against a review of the constitution for that reason. The North also largely owns the Military. So we can understand why the Military is behaving so badly and no one is able to do anything about it, not even the President …
